There are dozens of free applications available to help you build credit quick and add positive accounts to your credit report.

If your credit report is scarce and you only have a few accounts, learning how to build credit quick by adding positive accounts will give your credit score a significant boost.

If you have a long credit history with several negative and positive accounts, adding more positive accounts will still have a tremendous positive impact on your credit score.

1. Sable Secured Credit Card – Banking to Build Credit Quick

Sable Secured Credit Card
Sable Credit Builder App

Adding positive open accounts to your credit report is rarely a bad thing. The Sable app is first on this list. Here’s the 4 steps to get the most out of the Sable app:

  • Put money down and choose your credit limit.
  • Make on-time payments and hit clear Sable milestones to speed up your graduation to unsecured credit and build credit even faster.
  • Watch your credit score grow fast! Track your progress in the Sable app with personalized support and new updates on what really impacts your credit.
  • Graduate to unsecured credit in as fast as 4 months, and get 100% of your secured deposit back, with no credit check or negative impact to your credit score.

It really is that simple.

I haven’t even added funds to the account, yet Sable is helping me with 5 months of on-time payment history reported to Experian.

2. Self – Build, Monitor, and Track Your Credit Score

Self Application to Build Credit
Self App to add positive accounts

Another simple app to add positive accounts to your credit reports. The Self app reports to all three of the major credit bureaus, TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.

In fact, it is insanely rare for an open account in good standing to be reported accurately to all three bureaus.

That’s usually just the way it is with negative accounts that have been charged off and/or sold to a collection’s agency.

3. Brigit: How to Build Credit Quick and Budget Better

Brigit Application to Add Positive Account

Brigit is without a doubt one of my favorite apps for adding more positive accounts to my credit reports. Again, another super easy way to let all three bureaus know your making strides.

So, here’s how Brigit works.

You can use the free version to take out small cash advances between $10 and $250, then pay it back within 30 days. Obviously this involves connecting your bank account to the app so your income can be verified before you just get handed a couple hundred bucks. Nonetheless, it’s completely free.

Brigit also has a Plus plan for a flat $9.99 per month. Brigit’s Plus plan gives you access to their Credit Builder account feature. Essentially, Brigit reports to the bureaus that you were extended a loan of $600 and part of your monthly subscription fee goes toward paying back this “ghost loan.”

The free version will do but get double the benefits from a single app for just $10 a month is worth it in my opinion. You can also track and monitor your credit score as well as get your full credit report.
